The Department of Sociology at Bangladesh University successfully organized a memorable Freshers’ Reception for the 63rd batch alongside a heartfelt Farewell Ceremony for the 52nd batch on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

The program began with a warm welcome to the newly admitted students and an emotional send-off to the graduating batch. The first session featured inspiring and guidance-oriented speeches delivered by esteemed guests Professor Md. Humayun Kabir, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences & Law and Professor Dr. Md. Tajul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration. The session was presided over by Professor Dr. M. M. Enamul Aziz, Head of the Department of Sociology.

The second phase of the event was filled with joy and excitement through a lively cultural program. Students showcased their talents through music, dance, recitations, and performances, making the atmosphere vibrant and unforgettable.
